Vein sponge

Amphinomia sulphurea

Massive, thickly lobate-lamellate growth form, with flabellate lobes, and rounded or slightly undulating margins; large oscules on edges of lobes; surface thickly glabrous, fleshy, prominently crinkled and uneven, produced by irregular, interconnected low ridges, depressions and microconules.

Morphology

The sponge has flabellate lobes, and rounded or slightly undulating margins.
