Officers uniform includes a jacket, trousers [overalls], belt and cap.
Note on sheet that cap and belt missing also trousers?
Jacket; Rounded skirts on front, back two slits, braided dark blue/black barathea - very dark green braiding. Slit pockets in body - no braid. 4 rows of braid on front, fasterning by hooks and eyes,olivets / and toggles. Lining of dark green cloth padding.
Cuffs; braided Austrian knot
Shoulder straps; no rank indicated.
Mess trousers [overalls]; Blue trousers with thin red stripe.Blue/black barathea. Thin felted ..... 8mm across?. Suspender type - 4 buttons on the front, 2 brass on inside back. Fly - 5 small black metal buttons, i larger button on waist. 'Hobson & Sons London on buttons.
Label/ name tag inside bandLt H. Hammersly c/-586
NB: Lt H. Hammersly was a member of the Guildford Volunteers in 1890.
Cap/Glengarry; coarse blue felt around ouside bottom - brown leather sweatband. On top a red tuft?. Blue/black silk ribbons [2] at back. on front left side blackened brass buglebadge with hanging knots and acorns. Bugle highly decorated. Inside label - H.Watson.
