MODEL MARINE ENGINE

T1970.257

Twin cylinder compound steam engine. Internal admission piston valve, fabricated crank shaft. Closely resembles 1000 h.p. engines used on mine sweeping vessels during World War II. Made at Midland workshops during W.W.II. The 1000 h.p. engines were triple expansion but triple expansion is impractical in small scale working models.
