This full length evening dress is made from silver silk satin. The bodice is fitted and has padded inserts through the bust. The fabric is gathered into the side seams, these gathers are worked into a pleated panel through the back. The garment is one-shouldered, the attached straps feature an asymmetrical cut-out. The dress has a half peplum at the waist. Both the shoulder straps and the half peplum are entirely covered with appliqued diamantes (round and leaf-shaped). The skirt is a wrap around style, creating a split from the waistline. The skirt features a train. The closure is an invisible zip in the proper right side seam. From the bust-line the garment is lined in sheer, tonal polyester.
History:
This style of was originally shown as part of the Tarvydas Spring/Summer 2012 (SS12) collection. The stylewas re-released as part of the final Tarvydas 'La Vie' collection in 2014 which was a retrospective of 'classic' Ruth Tarvydas styles.
