This evening dress is made from winter white polyester. It features cut-out sections, is heavily
embellished and has a winter white silk ruffle trim. The dress is sleeveless, with a v-shaped neckline.
The style is fitted. Asymmetrical cut-out sections feature in the mid-section, with an additional
horizontal cut-out through the lower right section of the skirt. The fabric is heavily embellished with
alternating rows of silver bugle beads, diamantes and silver sequins. The tiered decorative ruffle
in silk organza begins at the centre back of the garment and finishes under the bust. Another eight
tiered ruffles in silk chiffon curve around the right side of the body through to the back.
The asymmetrical hemline is curved. The closure is three hook and eye through the back of
the garment. Fully lined with winter white polyester.
History:
This garment is from the 'Tarvydas Platinum' range, Ruth Tarvydas' premier label which consisted of
higher quality fabrication and detail and therefore commanded a higher price point. This style was
shown at Perth Fashion Festival (PFF) in 2010.
