Dress, gold silk chiffon, narrow straps, fitted, heavily sequinned with beaded panels,'vintage love', designed by 'Ruth Tarvydas', Perth, Western Australia, 2007.

This full length evening dress is made from gold silk chiffon. This slip dress has a square neckline

and is heavily embellished. The narrow shoulder straps have four rows of clear seed beads for

decoration. Four silk panels featuring flower motifs and cobweb-like beading are interspersed with

panels featuring columns of square plastic sequins in gold. The sequined panels are lined with tonal silk.

The dress features a thigh-high split through the proper left side seam. The closure is an

invisible zip also in the proper left side seam.

History: 

This dress is from Ruth Tarvydas' 'I Have a Dream' collection 2007, and the collection campaign was

photographed by Justin Smith. This dress featured in the Curtin 'House of Tarvydas' (HOT)

exhibition in 2008.
