Dress, black leather, strapless, '4047 leather obsession', designed by 'Tarvydas', Perth, Western Australia.

H2018.138

The strapless full length evening dress is made from black leather. The sweetheart neckline finishes

in two peaked points above the bust. It is fitted through the bodice, and crosses over through

the front. The garment features an inverted-v split beginning at the centre-front, just below

the hips. There is a curved train at the back. The closure is a metal zip in the centre-back.

Fully lined in black polyester.

History: 

This dress is from Ruth Tarvydas' final collection 'La Vie' Autumn/Winter 2014 (AW14).

It is inspired by the short, black version of 'obsessed' that was featured in the 'Lady Million'

perfume advertisement for Spanish designer Paco Rabanne c2010. The dress was worn

by Ruth, with her signature black leather cap (H2018.137).
