Small side bound photograph album with thick polished woodgrain covers to front and back; black ink stamped or painted? image on front cover depicting two men with two camels walking with a palm tree to the left; back cover with stamped or painted black ink word 'JERUSALEM'. Left bound edge has burgundy coloured fabric covering with two painted brown metal eyelets and secured with a thick brown twine, knotted and tied at back. Black and white portrait of soldier, album owner, Raymond Stafford Johnson in World War Two, Australian Army uniform adhered to inside front cover. The album contains twenty black card pages interleaved with tissue paper making up forty pages for mounting photographs. Inside back cover has two small black and white photographs adhered; left hand photograph of Raymond Stafford Johnson in full kit army uniform including metal 'Tommy' hat, haversack, gas breathing apparatus in pack, drink flask and food container; right hand side photograph of Mavis Higgins standing with Raymond Johnson in his army uniform. First page of album is inscribed in white ink block handwritten letters slanting upwards from left to right 'TO/MY DARLING MAVIS/WITH LOVE/ FROM RAY/ 1941-42.' Photographs adhered to pages with black, silver edged paper photo corners; white ink handwritten inscriptions for each photo; second page photograph of 'JERUSALEM VIEW'; third page two photographs 'WAILING WALL' and 'DOME OF THE ROCK./MOSQUE OMAR'; fourth page two photographs 'VIA De LOWSA.' and 'STREET IN OLD CITY'; fifth page two photographs 'MOSQUE OMAR' and 'TEMPLE AREA'; sixth page two photographs 'ST.
