PLANIMETER, ‘R. Reiss…’, in black box

Small, deep, rectangular, black, textured vinyl covered, metal hinged and clasped box, lined with dark blue velour, containing black and silver coloured metal planimeter.
1. Top of box has pressed, single linear border around outside edges, with ‘3847’ and ‘R. Reiss. G.m.b.W. Liebenwerda’ in light ink? Along clasp edge of box lid. Two curved, silver metal clasps on either side of front of box, with simple latch mechanism. All other external sides plain. Inside lined with dark blue velour/velvet fabric, cushioned top and sculpted base to fit planimeter snugly. Some wear to cushioned fabric, where instrument touches top.
2. Small, thin, silver coloured, metal part of planimeter. Small, round, disc at top of piece, with sharp, small pin at reverse. Minimalist scale at front of piece, with three small dots engraved in centre, ascending numbers from top; ‘2’, ‘4’, ‘6’. Angled bottom edge with engraved line through centre. Some slight scratches to metal.
3. Long, straight, black painted metal centre section with thin, silver conical piece on one side, and bulky, black spherical shape with bulbous end on opposite side, piece of planimeter instrument. Small, sharp pin at bottom of spherical end. Some wear to black paint.
4. Long, thin, sliver and black coloured metal, main part of planimeter. Long, thin, rectangular, silver metal scaled centre piece. Scale numbered ‘5-36’. Complex, black metal, measuring piece connected to centre section, with measuring tape and scale. White numbers engraved in top of measuring piece; ‘14649’. Angled end, with pin and anchor device.
