Circular, shiny black, ‘Vodex’ record, in square, brown, paper sleeve.
[1] Sleeve, brown, paper, plain. Sleeve plain, except for small pencil mark in front top right corner; ‘DB. 1456’. Circle cut out centre, with three open sides. Creased all over, with bent, slightly torn edges.
[2] Record, ‘Alice Freeden/ …/ Broadcast 30.10.48’. Four tracks, two sides, 78 rpm record. White, with blue text central field reads ‘Alice Freeden/ Vodex/ Broadcast 30.10.48/ THE TROUT/ THE MUSES GIFT/ SPEED 78 r.p.m/ START INSIDE/ RECORDED BY VODEX 2ND FLOOR 7 HOWARD ST.’, reverse reads ‘Alice Freeden/ Vodex/ Broadcast 30.10.48/ BELIEVING IN SPRING/ NEAR THE BELOVED/ SPEED 78 r.p.m/ START INSIDE/ RECORDED BY VODEX 2ND FLOOR 7 HOWARD ST.’. ‘Alice Freeden/…/Broadcast 30.10.48’ handwritten in blue ink over printed field, song titles, speed and starting point also handwritten, in black ink. Record ‘A’ side has slight scratches, especially towards edges, deep scratch in rim above ‘x’ in ‘Vodex’. ‘B’ side also has slight scratching. Large piece of imprinted/ transferred text across top of record, indecipherable.
