BINOCULARS, opera, black felt & brass, ‘CHZ’

[1] Small, black felt and brass, ‘CHZ’, opera binoculars. Brass rimmed lenses, with black enamel (?) lining to glass, and joining to main body of binoculars. Black felt covered body main body, flat top edge, with arched underneath. Focus wheel , top centre. Maker’s monogram engraved in brass plate between viewing lenses, ‘CHZ/No 2105/ france’. Some wear to felt on proper left lense, with minor tarnishing/golden sheen worn off brass surrounds and detail. Dust inside mechanism, slightly clouds viewing. As new condition.
[2] Small, square/oblong, dark olive green, black plaited cord, cream interior, silk(?), drawstring bag for opera binoculars. Front, proper left side and base discoloured yellow/rust, with small torn hole at base. Small spots of discolouration through front centre of bag. Cord tied at each end, frayed ends. Reverse: Single seam through centre of fabric, to base seam. Drawstring still operable. Inside: Discolouration/ rust marks inside opening of bag, before drawstring. Hole from front side, through to lining. Worn, but generally good condition.
