SATCHEL, brown, leather, damaged

Wide, rectangular, dark brown, leather, with metal clasps, satchel. Single, wide leather handle at top of bag, with two, slightly pointed, painted metal spikes at each end securing handle to bag. Small, overlapping, square envelope-style flap over opening to front of bag. Wide, rectangular, bronze coloured, metal clasp in top centre of front. Two, small, round, press studs on either far side of clasp, towards edge of front. Single, raised, leather piped seam on each edge, front and back, to form thin, rectangular side panels. Soft, undefined, base with central double stitched seam through centre of base. Reverse mirrors front clasp and press studs, in bottom centre, near base. Interior partially lined with leather at top, changing to lining of maroon fabric (silk? cotton?), very worn and coming away from front of bag. Fabric torn, frayed and stained, general dirt in bottom of bag. No internal pockets. Satchel shape and structure damaged; overlapping flap internal support coming loose from leather lining. Support is a thin, flat metal bar with single punched hole at either end (handle attached to this via spikes. Metal clasps tarnished (unsure if functional). Leather very worn on flap (exterior and interior), edges and corners. Leather piping/edging worn and coming undone towards base on either side. Reverse in better condition, leather less worn and faded. Leather piping/ edging worn at top of bag, near flap.
