Rectangular, light green background with dark green bordering and black text, hand painted on masonite, ‘Alice Freeden [cursive]/ (ST. a. BERLIN)/ TEACHER OF SINGING, VOICE PRODUCTION [block lettering]’, sign. Cursive script underlined, leading from ‘n’, backwards to ‘l’. Text shadowed in darker green border colour. Six holes drilled into short edge of sign, three each side. Painter’s pencil marks visible beneath text. Paint slightly scratched all over, some dirty marks across painted surface. Angled edge, corners worn. Reverse: Dark brown Masonite backing, faded in areas. Paint from front bled over edges. Masonite slightly disintegrating.
