NIGHTDRESS, pink, rayon, ‘Mode Wäsche’

Long, baby pink, rayon, ‘Mode Wäsche’, women’s nightdress. Shiny, peter pan collar, three medium-sized round buttons, two clear with decorative daisy engraved/raised design, white top button, with grooved, layered design, adjacent press stud fastening at neck. Stitched ruching across bust (30mm wide). Shiny fabric used for slightly puffed sleeves and small, shield-shaped pocket over right breast. Mid-length skirt to calves. Fabric has very few imperfections; small yellowed patch of staining opposite pocket and on left hip/leg. Worn patch of fabric on lower left leg, near bottom hem. Stitched ruching across bust has multiple loose/pulled threads. Creases and folds all through fabric. Reverse: tiny hole at centre base of collar, some wearing on left lower side seam, otherwise fabric near new. Inside: seams are near new, no discernible pulls, inside collar has hand-stitched white label, unmarked. Makers label, purple and white: ‘Gr./Mode Wäsche/44’
