UNION BULLETIN

H1993.162

The document is a handwritten draft form of issues to do with the Waterside Workers' Federation at the time of the 1956 strike, to be printed into a daily bulletin issued to the members of the union. Some of the issues discussed in the bulletin are; a note of thanks by representatives of the Collie Miners' Union to the Waterside Workers Federation for their assistance during a visit, notices of public meetings, calls for distributors of leaflets, things the members have been doing, for example the Secretary had spoken on radio station 6KY on behalf of the union to present their case, and leaflets had been distributed in Kalgoorlie as well as the Perth and Fremantle streets. Other issues raised were about the Picket Committee, the Womens' Committee, transport, Relief and Welfare Committee and the Sports and Entertainment Committee.
