Suit was worn by John Burt, born 4.4.1911 at the wedding of Hilda Maude Burt, daughter of Septimus, to Kenneth Messer at St. Georges' Cathedral on the 18th April, 1914. The 'West Australian' describes the suit as a 'Kate Greenaway suit of white satin'. John's sister, Ursula was the flowergirl, the children were the niece and nephew of the bride. Their parents were Mr & Mrs Archie Burt. John also wore his present, a gold safety pin brooch. The reception was held at Strawberry Hill, the Burt family residence in Adelaide Terrace.
