FIRE EXTINGUISHER

Metal box containing one "pistol"unit and three extinguisher cart- ridges. The box is designed to fix to a vessels bulkhead ready for instant use in an emergency. The lid has a metal label attached marked "Antifyre Pistole Extinguisher / Lifeboat Unit IIIB / (long operating instructions) / Antifyre Ltd Shaftsbury road, London W.3". The pistol is marked on the rhs "Antifyre Ltd / Shaftsbury Road / Acton / London W.3.", the three cartridges are marked "Recharge for / Model B / Antifyre Pistole / Extinguisher". This extinguisher was used on the fishing boat BETTY MARGARET in Geraldton prior to 1956.
