The parcel is addressed to ". R. H. MACFARLANE BARROW" in Inverness-shire, Scotland, and postmarked "16. 1. 39". b. Square cardboard box to mail films. Details as above but postmarked "14. 1. 38" and addressed to "MR. S. D. MACFARLANE- BARROW / STONYHURST COLLEGE / NR. BLACKBURN, LANCS.". c - e. Reels of film used with hand cranked projector H91.0140, all in individual red and blue printed on yellow boxes reading "PATHESCOPE / 9.5mm. At the centre of most, a reel of film is illustrated with a triangle superimposed, and on each of its sides, "SAFETY FILM". Two other boxes carry identical information but have Mickey Mouse instead of the spool and triangle. All are children's films and the title of each and their rating has been pencilled on each box by the MacFarlanes. The number recorded is the number from each of the box ends. c. Single 8cm metal spool marked "PATHE / SCOPE / MADE IN ENGLAND". This is the longest film of the batch. Box printed "30098" and marked in pencil "80 FT / FURS AND FEATHERS / PRETTY POPULAR!". d. Four intermediate length films on reels which, unlike c. are enclosed. Each is marked "PATHESCOPE / MADE IN ENGLAND / BRITISH PATS / NOS 169976 175265 / 175266 211850". Each reel is titled and this information with the family's rating is pencilled on the respective boxes: "10176 / ALADDIN AND HIS WONDERFUL LAMP / V.G"; "..297 / HAUNTED HOUSE / V.G"; "10331 / CHARLIE THE WATCHMAKER"; "10107 / TAILORING / FAIR". e. Seven shorter length films on reels identical to but smaller that d, and marked with the same information. Each reel is titled and this information with the family's rating is pencilled on the respective boxes: "771 / PART 1 - FELIX AND THE BEAUTIFUL FATMA / INDIFFERENT"; "10021 / PART 2 - FELIX AND THE BEAUTIFUL FATMA / INDIFFERENT"; "30044 / FROTH AND FLURRY / G"; "771 / BARNYARD LAY / G."; "10127 / SOME MONKEY TYPES / V.G"; "30134 / TWO OWLS / V.G"; "30132 / MICKEY ENLISTS / V.G". Used by the MacFarlane family for home entertainment. In 1967 the family moved to Perth from Scotland when the oldest of their six children was 10 years old. Objects H91.0135 to H91.140 are all related in use. These films were shown with the projector H91.140.
