Black and silver plaque reading "MIRRABOOKA PRIMARY SCHOOL / SWAN LOCATION V / THIS PROPERTY IS WITHIN / SWAN LOCATION V, / AN ORIGINAL CROWN GRANT / OF 1,000 ACRES WITH FRONTAGE TO THE SWAN RIVER. / IT WAS GIVEN AND GRANTED TO / WILLIAM KNIGHT BY THE GOVERNOR / OF THE COLONY, JOHN HUTT ESQUIRE, / ON THE THIRD MARCH 1841 IN THE / REIGN OF QUEEN VICTORIA. / WILLIAM KNIGHT, BORN 1801, / ARRIVED IN THE COLONY OF / WESTERN AUSTRALIA 25TH APRIL / 1831 ON THE "ATWICK" FROM / SUSSEX, ENGLAND." A relevant map of the location is reproduced. At the base of the plaque, "BICENTENNIAL CROWN GRANT AND LOCALITIES PROJECT / JOINTLY FUNDED BY THE AUSTRALIAN BICENTENNIAL AUTHORITY AND THE / CITY OF STIRLING TO CELEBRATE AUSTRALIA'S BICENTENARY IN 1988." The plaque was a prototype in a series of commissioned commemorative plaques produced by Distinctive Signs under Robert Purser. For details of the business see H90.211.
