Black painted wooden frame covers orange and black paper sign which reads: "GOLDEN MILE / MUSEUM / Outridge Terrace, Kalgoorlie / (at the top of Hannan Street) / OPEN DAILY / 2pm. to 4.30 pm. / ADMISSION / adults 25c, children 10c, / pensioners 10c / children in school parties free / telephone 211 419" Depicts British Arms building at right of text. The Golden Mile Museum was inaugurated as a branch of the Western Australian Museum, changing its name to the Museum of the Goldfields on 9 December 1988.
