A two-sided, large, rectangular banner with faded blue velvet backing.
Side 1: Illustraton features trade tools with two men facing each other, arms stretched out and clasping hands; a smoothing plane and square are featured and a 1930s art deco styled monument, possibly depicting a pencil?. Words across the top in a semicircle, painted canvas glued to velvet: 'AMALGAMATED SOCIETY OF CARPENTERS AND JOINERS'.
Side 2: Large painted image of two men sawing and chiselling at their workbench surmounted by words 'AMALGAMATED SOCIETY OF CARPENTERS AND JOINERS'.
Sleeve at top of banner for the insertion of pole. Lined in red hatcloth.
