HEATER, Kerosene
H1986.275
Reservoir for kerosene clips onto back; a spring loaded valve operates when it is in place, releasing kerosene into a second reservoir at back base. From here it is released by turning knob at front through pipe into open pan beneath cylinder of woven wick material, the top of which is lit with match. Over this is placed a unit consisting of 4 concentric cylinders to conduct heat up to a coarsley-meshed dome which glows red when heater is going. Protector over top and front. Handle on top of heater has red plastic pieces in style popular in 40s/50s.
