DRESS & PETTICOAT

CH1977.27.a-b

(a) Turquoise fine nylon frock - "V" neck with bodice gathered in folds to waist. Skirt Knife-pleated. Belt removed by owner and used to make small centre piece at waist. 2 oval buckles metal with glass "stones". These were originally from a pair of evening shoes c. 1914-18. Short sleeves. Lining of turquoise nylon net.
(b) Pale turquoise nylon petticoat, worn under (a). Panels of embroidery (nylon on top and around hem). Narrow adjustable straps. Label: 'KAYSER/ LINGERIE/ BRI-NYLON/ 36'.
