Did you know the Gogo Fish is WA’s fossil emblem? Join us to find out more fun facts and explore some of our State’s ancient fossil discoveries these July school holidays.

Discovery Centre – Fossil Fever

Dates: 4 – 19 July

Time: 10.30am-1pm

Ages: all ages                       

Cost: $2 each                      

Bookings: required for groups 10+ via 1300 134 081 

Discover some of the creatures that lived in WA’s ancient oceans. Decorate a mask with a prehistoric Gogo Fish design, and compare the size of a massive Megalodon with today’s white shark when you tackle our Megalodon Mobile.

Discovery Centre – Six Simple Machines

Dates: 4 – 19 July

Time: 9.30am – 5pm

Cost: free

Ages: all ages

Bookings: required for groups 10+ via 1300 134 081 

Explore incredible structural achievements of the past and learn about the six simple machines that made them possible. Build a miniature Florentine arch bridge, construct an impressive Egyptian pyramid, make a great stone statue walk and discover much more in the Discovery Zone.

Time Trekker: Dino Dig

Dates: Thursday 9 July (kids only), Friday 10 July (kids only), Saturday 11 July (family friendly experience)

Time: sign in at 9.15am. 9.30am – 12.30pm

Cost: early bird discount $30 per child (until 4pm Monday, 22 June). Standard fee $38 per child. Saturday 18 July: $55 for 1x adult + 1x child (additional participant $38)

Ages: weekdays 8 – 12 years. Saturday 18 July: 6 – 12 years with accompanying adult
