Kep Kaatijin Sat 28 Mar 2015 11:00am – 12:30pm Following booked out seasons in 2013 & 2014 Kep Kaatijin will return in 2015. This work will tour to Metropolitan Schools during the week and be performed free to families at the WA Museum, Perth on Saturdays, as well as to a limited number of outer Metro and Rural schools. Kep Kaatijin commences it's 2015 season at the Western Australian Museum on the 14th of March 2015. Kep Kaatijin (to understand water) is a collection of stories based on traditional Noongar knowledge and storytelling. These stories have been sourced from senior Noongar Elders and adapted by Derek Nannup and David Milroy. From Mumung, the hungry whale, to Djitty Djitty, the angry willy wagtail, Kep Kaatijin will take young audiences on a fascinating and entertaining journey into traditional Noongar knowledge and storytelling. Through traditional and contemporary myths and legends, Kep Kaatijin brings to life stories from the waterways of the South West of Western Australia. This program is supported by our Community Cultural Partner Western Australian Museum and our Project Partner Water Corporation.
