The WA Day Festival is here, and ‘family fun’ is officially on the menu.

If you love a barbie, then come on down and enjoy Geraldton’s Biggest BBQ–it promises to be a multicultural feast, with everything from kangaroo kebabs, burgers, paella, Malaysian, vegetarian delights and damper to enjoy.

Immerse yourself in the culture of our region, with entertainment and workshops from Phil Walleystack, as well as Aboriginal sand murals to behold. You’ll also find discovery trails inside the Museum, and the Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year 2018 exhibition.

WA Short Films on Show presented by Screenwest. Filled with lots of laughs, some young love, bee business, families coming together, a touch of sports magic and a whole lot of fun. From creators in Broome and beyond to inner city to right down south of WA, these shorts are suitable for all by a range of talented WA filmmakers.

The clock is on! Test your puzzle solving skills before your time is up. Grab a few friends to solve the hidden clues you need to escape the Time’s Up Escape Room. Your ability to distinguish the meaningless from the pivotal could be what makes the difference!

Get to know our local heroes at the Volunteer Emergency Services Expo–watch them in action as they demonstrate what they do best.

You also have a chance to experience the Museum of Geraldton with a teenager’s twist. Join interactive tours designed and performed by Euphorium Youth Academy.

There’s plenty to keep the kids busy, too. They’ll love the PCYC Circus activities, Urban Art murals and Kidzhub Chill-out tent. Or they can try out the surf machines, fishing, art and craft activities, or cuddle up to some very cute critters.

The WA Day Festival is on Monday 3 June from 10am - 2pm at the Museum of Geraldton. See you there!
