Times: 9.30am – 3pm
Cost: Free
Age: All ages welcome

We have an area especially for the Wajarri wangga bagardi gula! (Wajarri in your pocket) app. It’s a place of discovery and fun.

  • Waking words – use the Wajarri wangaa bagardi gula! app to find the Wajarri words and see if you can identify the objects hidden on the board. Wangga nganhu barndi!
  • A hunting we will go – match the weapons, tools and containers from the Museum of Geraldton’s collection with the correct bush tucker. Will you get some bush tucker? Or will you go hungry?
  • Connecting the connections – family is an important influence on the way we identify who we are and how we live our lives. The extended structure of family is particularly important for Aboriginal people. Use construction sticks to make a 3D map of your own family connections. Starting with yourself, connect all those who make up your extended family
