Despite being 20 years old, this film is still outstanding and features brilliant performances by legendary Russell Crowe and a young but very commanding Joaquin Phoenix.

Gladiator is an epic and inspirational tale of a once powerful Roman general forced to become a common gladiator.

"The general who became a slave. The slave who became a gladiator. The gladiator who defied an emperor."

Gladiator was the winner of 5 Oscars at the 2001 Academy Awards (Best Picture; Best Actor in a Leading Role; Best Costume Design; Best Sound; Best Effects, Visual Effects).
