Discover the world of invention and ingenuity that was Leonardo da Vinci. Test his inventions and build your own machines. You can even check out other machines that were designed and built on the Goldfields!

Da Vinci Exploration Zone

Entry to da Vinci Machines is $15 for adults, $10 for children and concession card holders, and $40 for families (2 adults x 2 children or 1 adult x 3 children).

After you have seen da Vinci Machines, put your thinking caps on and come on down to the Exploration Zone to have a go at making some of your own machines. Can you make a catapult which will knock down castle walls? How good is your parachute? Does your helicopter fly? What other machines can you create?

Ages: 5+

Cost: $8 per child or free with entry to the da Vinci Machines      

Bookings: not required

Museum Machines

See the machines that were used during the early days on the Goldfields; many of them were homemade! Can you see how they work and what were they used for? 

Cost: $2 per trail

Age: 5+ (early readers will need assistance)

*Programs are subject to availability. All children 12 years and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
