Museum of the Goldfields

An historic fire engine

Built in 1924, and retired in 1965 after serving the citizens of Boulder for many years, the Dennis Fire Engine is out on display again. One of the Museum’s iconic artefacts, Dennis is popular with both locals and tourists for being big, red, brassy and … just Dennis!

Dennis is on display until 18 October along with four fantastic veteran vehicles form the Kalgoorlie branch of the Veteran Car Club. These great cars range in age from 1927 to 1951, and showcase the development in leisure motoring during these decades.

So come on down to the Museum and eye off our lovely veteran vehicles!
