Aided by National Science Week and Inspiring Australia funding, Miles created portraits of past and present West Australians such as engineer C Y O'Connor, early settler and botanist Georgiana Molloy, and geologist Philip Playford who have achieved great scientific innovation and discovery for WA - many enduring great struggles and triumphs in their endeavours to improve and advance our lives. Accompanying the artworks are entertaining fast-paced video clips featuring stop motion animation, info stills and time-lapse photography of the works’ construction.
