Museum of the Great Southern

David Young and a girl (seated) at Marbellup Farm, Youngs Siding.

Join in the storytelling of one of the oldest districts of the South Coast. With a farming history that dates back to the 1850s, Youngs Siding has a rich past that includes railways, shipwrecks, a school, a local store, a community hall, and, most of all, a cast of characters who were and are larger than life.

Come and listen (and contribute) to some of the stories in an evening of memories and yarn-swapping. Hosted by Public Programs Officer and Youngs Siding resident, Malcolm Traill, the evening promises to bring new life to an old area, and will guarantee to open your eyes to life as it used to be.

Gold coin donation for entry and a small charge for supper. Please bring a plate to share.

Youngs Siding is 38 km (30 mins) west of Albany on the Lower Denmark Road.

Co-hosted by the Youngs Siding Community Association.
