Tim Pearn: On the Beach Mon 16 Feb 2015 – Sat 7 Mar 2015 10:00am – 4:30pm Museum of the Great Southern On the Beach provides you with a thought-provoking look at the insidious build-up of small-scale plastic detritus on the wild and pristine beaches of the southern coast of Western Australia. Focusing on Albany’s much-loved Goode Beach, the exhibition documents a one-year period, in which water-borne plastic waste was collected. Through high-quality photography and different coloured plastic packaging, the exhibition draws attention to issues of environmental pollution, hazards to wildlife and a largely unseen ‘universe’ of waste material that takes hundreds of years to decay.
