Iron Man: The development of the one atmosphere suit

The zenith of commercial diving equipment is the atmospheric diving suit (ADS). These self-contained, articulated suits maintain an internal pressure of one atmosphere, removing the need for the diver to decompress. ADSs are valued for safety, cost efficiency and the reduced equipment footprint they require on board platforms and vessels. ADSs have the added capability of rapid emergency evacuation from a vessel or platform without decompression.
