Seashells of Western Australia

Shirley Slack-Smith
Curator of Molluscs, Aquatic Zoology

Shells live practically everywhere – in waters that are rough or calm, warm or cold, clear or muddy; on rocks, corals or sea grasses; in sand, mud or in the water column. Some can live only in tropical waters while others can live only down south. Some feed on seaweeds and some are ferocious predators. In WA we have them all!

Join Shirley Slack-Smith as she celebrates the diversity, resourcefulness and resilience of one of Western Australia's most popular and diverse groups of marine animals.
