Brookfield Multiplex is well-known the world over, and in Western Australia alone the international contractors are known for many major projects, including Fiona Stanley Hospital, the City Busport Alliance, and the Fremantle Maritime Museum.

OMA has a formidable global reputation around the world and its principal and joint founder, Rem Koolhaas, has been described, by some, as the most controversial architect in the world. For examples of OMA's work, see the Seattle Central Library, Le Museé national des beaux-arts du Quebec and the China Central TV Headquarters in Beijing.

Hassell has offices all over the world, including here in Perth, and is well-known to Australians for its innovative winning design for Flinders Street Station in Melbourne, and for its work on Darling Harbour in Sydney.

This announcement is a major milestone in the planning of the New Museum for Western Australia. Doors are due to open to the public in 2020.
